Why Portraits?
Being a recreation enthusiast (with a camera) I naturally fell in love with taking pictures of landscapes and outdoor activities from a young age, and it wasn't until my high school years that I began to find a passion for portraiture as well. Beginning my sophomore year I began taking senior portraits of friends and family which quickly grew into the start of my photography business. I realized in the beginning that the standard portrait photographer model of print packages, paying for file downloads, and overall hidden costs was not for me. By removing the complexity of these common themes, I was able to offer quality senior portraits in a timely manner for affordable prices. I don't create print packages with added costs, I simply give my clients their finalized files to them free of added charge for them to do with what they wish. My personal recommendation (which you won't hear many photographers ever mention) is to take the files to Costco or the like for affordable quality prints of all sizes.

How it works!
Scheduling - Email works best, but calling and texting work as well. I will respond to you as soon as possible, but please allow for a 24 hour response time.
Planning - After getting in touch, we will start to discuss details such as location, time, date, and the fundamentals of the shoot. I often utilize small sierra foothill towns for weathered architectural backgrounds and have many locations for beautiful, natural settings. Morning and evening light are preferable for outdoor shooting, but being a busy individual myself I understand that schedules are tight and am completely willing to work out timing and logistical issues.
The Day of the Shoot: I often find it useful to meet at an easy spot, such as a coffeeshop, and discuss the day and any last minute questions. Then we will caravan to the decided location and the shoot will begin.
After the shoot: I will email a link to your private folder that contains minimally edited proofs of the session. You can then decide on the top 10 photographs from the shoot which you will have finalized and sent to you in a private/personal link.
To select images, use the file name provided in the upper left hand corner of the window displaying the photo (Click here for example). After working on your selections, I will post the high resolution final photographs to my website in a private folder where prints can be ordered. Also, I will include a link to a private Dropbox folder where both high and web res files will be available for download and sharing. (You are not required to purchase prints from my site, I only offer this as a convenience, once you have received the files they are yours).

Being a student myself, I understand the craziness of a busy schedule and have come up with a revised style of the timeless portrait to fit our busy calendars. While many portrait photographers require you to order high priced print packages that often leave you with extra prints in sizes you don't need. I instead, offer both high and web res files ready to download at no extra cost. I also offer print sales (al la carte) on my site, but you are not required to purchase these and are offered simply as a convenience. I am completely willing to work out details of shoots, and personal preferences at any time prior to our portrait photo session. With all of the session options, I offer 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if the shots don’t come out how you like we can reshoot and create portrait everyone will love.
